We assembled a team of diverse talent from longtime veterans to emerging creatives who were passionate about bringing our film to life.

DWIGHT BUHLER (Editor) has been working as a video editor for 20 years. He has worked on projects for cable networks such as HGTV and Bravo. He edited the concert film Wisenheimer for veteran stand-up comedian, Robert G. Lee. He currently serves as the director and editor for the cooking series, Tiny Kitchen, Big Taste. Additionally, he works on the nationally syndicated comedy game show, Funny You Should Ask, produced by Byron Allen.

He has worked on award-winning short films including the documentary, Finding Cleveland and the comedy, Sunday School. He also contributed to the upcoming music documentary, Brothers Broken: The Story That Stopped The Music featuring Rick Springfield and Marilyn Manson.

NATHAN WANG (Composer) is an Emmy-award winning composer. A prolific and versatile composer, Wang has scored nearly 300 films and television shows including projects in the U.S. for Steven Spielberg, Disney, Dreamworks, and Sony Pictures, and for Jackie Chan, PolyBona, Perfect World, China Film Group, EMP, Wanda, and Huayi Brothers in Asia. His compositions have been performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Shanghai Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, and Chicago Symphony. He has also collaborated with legendary composers John Williams and Hans Zimmer.

Wang is the recipient of two Emmy Awards (Reefer Madness, Showtime 2005; Pancho Barnes, PBS 2011) and numerous other accolades. His long list of credits include Kung Fu Panda 3, The Game Plan starring Dwayne Johnson, the successful Detective Chinatown series and the recent family comedy hit, Playing With Fire starring John Cena. Upcoming projects include Jackie Chan’s latest film, Vanguard.

A musical prodigy from an early age, Wang started classical piano lessons at age three and at only nine years old, he performed Haydn’s Keyboard Concerto in D with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.​ Wang earned his first college degree before completing middle school. Then, he was accepted to the University of Southern California where he studied composition with famed choral composer Morten Lauridsen, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Degree at age 13. After high school, he studied at Pomona College in California, double-majoring in Music and Biology. Wang was then admitted to Harvard Medical School but instead chose to accept a Fulbright Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford in England, where he earned an MST. in Music.

COOP COOPER (Cinematography/Camera) is an award-winning filmmaker from Clarksdale, MS. He earned his BFA in Cinema at Southern Methodist University and an MFA in Screenwriting at the American Film Institute in Hollywood. He’s worked on numerous projects highlighting the numerous aspects of Mississippi and has worked with legendary actors such as Morgan Freeman.

JASON POON (Cinematography/Camera) got his start directing the music video. “Glory,” for Only Won. Since then, he’s collaborated with major YouTube stars like the Fung Brothers and AJ Rafael. He also worked on Justin Chon’s feature film directorial debut, Man Up and TV shows like Being for BET,

BRANDON SAITO (Executive Producer) is a partner in the Le Saito Tanaka Financial Strategies Group. He comes from a trailblazing family in entertainment. His father, the late Bill Saito (BigTrouble in Little China, Kung Fu, Knight Rider) was a prolific actor who became the first Asian American member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. His uncle, James Saito (Always Be My Maybe, Altered Carbon), is a respected character actor. Brandon Saito continues his family’s legacy by producing content that highlights the Asian American experience.

JONATHAN TANAKA (Executive Producer) is a partner in the Le Saito Tanaka Financial Strategies Group and has spent over 40 years working in wealth management. His family has a long history in America. His father is widely considered the first Japanese American stockbroker and his great-grandfather was the first pastor of the Japanese Union Church of Los Angeles in Little Tokyo. Tanaka is a strong supporter of stories that showcase the history of Asians in America and uplift the human spirit.

DONALD FREEMAN, CSI (Colorist) has worked on a long list of films starring Hollywood’s biggest names. His film credits include Mean Girls, The Italian Job , Star Trek: Nemesis and The Manchurian Candidate starring Denzel Washington. Additionally, he has worked on series such as Hung, I Am Jazz and James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.

HUMBERTO ZAMORES (Sound Editing Supervisor & Re-recording Mixer) has spent over two decades as a respected sound engineer and re-recording mixer. His credits include the films Internal Affairs, Grace Unplugged, Searching Cassius, Seeking Ali and TV series such as Unusual Suspects, The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange and The Little Couple. 

JARED ISHAM (Motion Graphics & Titles) is a partner at Stage Ham Entertainment, LLC. He has worked on projects for major brands such as Procter & Gamble, Indeed, Barnes & Noble, Nike, Toyota, CW, Disney and more. He has directed films that have been distributed by Lionsgate and Pureflix.

JOSH LEWIS (Score Mixer) began his career at the legendary Firehouse Recording Studios and has worked on Grammy winning projects for artists like Lalah Hathaway. His film credits include Playing with Fire, Detective Chinatown and Kung Fu Yoga.
