We are thrilled that we are taking Far East Deep South back to where we our journey started, Mississippi! There will be two screenings our film on March 20 & 22 at this year’s Oxford Film Festival in Oxford, MS. World Premiere at Cinequest

We are excited to finally announce that Far East Deep South will be making its World Premiere at the Cinequest Film and Creativity Festival. There will be three screenings on March 7, 8 & 14 of our film through the course of the festival taking place in San Jose, CA and Redwood City, CA. This is the 30th anniversary of Cinequest, which was previously voted the #1 film festival by USA Today.

Meet Our Composer – Nathan Wang

We are honored to have award-winning film composer, Nathan Wang, working on a wonderful score for Far East Deep South. He recently scored the John Cena comedy, Playing with Fire and has worked on a long list of films such as Kung Fu Panda 3 and The Game Plan starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He’s also composed music for Television, Video Games, Musical Theater, Opera, and the Concert Stage.

He has scored nearly 300 films and television shows [spanning 4 of the 6 habitable continents], including projects in the U.S. for Steven Spielberg, Disney, Dreamworks, and Sony Pictures, and for Jackie Chan, PolyBona, Perfect World, China Film Group, EMP, Wanda, and Huayi Brothers in Asia. His compositions have been performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Shanghai Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, and ChicagoSymphony. Mr. Wang is a Recipient of 2 Emmy Awards (Reefer Madness, Showtime 2005; Pancho Barnes, PBS 2011), a 1993 Singapore Grammy for Faye Wong’s hit song Wo Yuan Yi (I’m Willing), and is a 2014 Taiwan Golden Horse Award nominee for his film score to director Ning Hao’s No Man’s Land.
